The outgoing Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, Hon. E.T Mensah, last Friday met with top executives of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), Office of the Head of Civil Service, Local Government Services and the Senior officials of the Ministry of Employment and Social Welfare.
The meeting sought to set the facts straight on the ongoing implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy.CLOGSAG members as at last year have been fully migrated onto the Single Spine Salary Structure. However, the Association’s executives are demanding the payment of a “Top Up” Allowance beyond the provisions of the existing pay policy. According to FWSC, this allowance does not exist in its scheme of work.
Present at the meeting were: Mr. George Smith-Graham and Mr. Joseph Gadikor (CEO and Director, Finance and Administration of FWSC) respectively, Mr. Isaac Bampoe Addo and Mr Ankrah of CLOGSAG.A follow up meeting is scheduled to be held this week.
