Team of Doctors,Lecturers Happy With FWSC talks

Directors of Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) have just concluded preliminary discussions with a team of Doctors from University of Ghana Medical School, the College of Health Sciences and the School of Public Health all of University of Ghana.

These are Doctors who are and Lecturers who additionally perform clinical duties. They approached FWSC for consideration for extra remuneration by the nature of their job they are members of the Ghana Medical Association and also belong to the University Teachers Association of Ghana.

Present to forward this request were Professor Aeron L. Lawson, Mr. Michael Owusu Ansah all of College of Health Science, Frank Boni University of Ghana Medical School /Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, K. Nkyekyer Ghana Medical School, Anyetei Lassey and Mr. Adu Aryee also of University of Ghana Medical School.

They were hosted by Mrs. Eva Addo, Director for Salary Grading, Regrading and Job Evaluation) and Mr. John Yaw Amankrah (Director for Pay Policy Analysis and Research)

Speaking with FWSC Public Affairs, after the discussion, Professor Aeron L. Lawson expressed his satisfaction at Fair Wages and Salaries Commission. “I was very happy with the outcome of the discussion – He said”.

The team will be presenting a proposal to that effect to the FWSC in due course.
