MINISTER OF EMPLOYMENT AND LABOUR RELATIONS, HON. IGNATIUS BAFFOUR-AWUAH, INSPECT ONGOING OFFICE EXPANSION PROJECT AT FAIR WAGES AND SALARIES COMMISSION

The Minister of Employment and Labour Relations (MELR), Hon. Ignatius Baffour- Awuah paid a working visit to the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) to inspect an ongoing office expansion project at the Commission.

The site supervisor, Mr. Samuel Coffie, led the team round the project site, where he explained to the sector Minister, project designs and designated offices.

At the end of the tour, the Hon. Minister expressed his satisfaction of the work done so far.

However, he raised a concerned about inadequate safety standards and practices on site as some workers were seen not wearing their helmet.

The Hon. Minister cautioned the site supervisor and the representative of the contractor on safety issues and drew their attention to the fact that, Health and Safety matters fall under his Ministry and therefore, would not tolerate non-compliance with Health and Safety Standards and Practices.

The Minister was accompanied by the Deputy Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Salam Aminu Mohammed and his Personal Assistant, Magdalene Adepa Ansah.

While the management of the Commission includes; the Director of Finance and Administration, Mr. Dollar Agbenu, Director of Performance, Mr. Cephas Amada, Director of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation, Dr. Bernard Adjei-Poku, Deputy Director Administration, Mr. Patrick Sebe-Soadwa, Deputy Director Finance, Mr. Michael Oti Marfo, Public Relations Officer, Alhassan Sadik Abubakar, Assistant Information Officer, Eric Akuamoah Boateng and Head of Estate Unit, Alex Inkoom.
