GOVERNMENT REACHES AGREEMENT WITH THE INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL WORKERS UNION (ICU) ON THEIR CONDITIONS OF SERVICE FOR STAFF OF THE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION AUTHORITY (NIA).

The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) led the Government team, which included Management from the National Identification Authority (NIA) and the Ministry of Finance, in reaching an agreement with the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union (ICU) and Public Sector Workers Union (PSWU) on the Conditions of Service for the NIA staff on 23rd July, 2024, at the FWSC conference room.

This came after a series of meetings with the Unions, which culminated in both sides expressing their satisfaction with the conclusion of the discussions and signing the Agreement.

The Government Team was led by the Ing. Benjamin Arthur, Chief Executive of FWSC, while the Unions’ side was led by Mr. Emmanuel Benimah, Deputy General Secretary of ICU with the support from Bro. Bernard Adjei, General Secretary of PSWU.
