FAIR WAGES COMMISSION, CHRAJ BEGIN CONDITIONS OF SERVICE REVIEW
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has met with the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to initiate a crucial negotiation meeting aimed at reviewing the conditions of service for CHRAJ staff.
The existing conditions of service for CHRAJ staff has remained unchanged since 2019 and the meeting marked a significant step towards addressing the long-overdue review of CHRAJ staff’s compensation, benefits, and working conditions.
Need for review
The Director of Grievances and Negotiations at the FWSC, Prof Charles A. Oppong indicated that FWSC was committed to working with CHRAJ to address the long-overdue review.
In a brief address, the CHRAJ Commissioner, Joseph Akanjolenur Whittal, emphasised the necessity of the review, stating, “others are moving forward, but we have been stagnating. We appreciate the FWSC’s commitment to working with us to address this issue.”
